The wedding season has officially begun! And this year’s nuptials began with Sam and Paul’s wedding in Portsmouth.
After the promise of cloudy weather and potential rain, England couldn’t have put on a finer show for Mr & Mrs Campbell’s big day. With the sun shining, I made my way to Sam’s family home in Portsmouth to join her and her brilliant crew for bridal prep, which saw spray-tan-gone-wrong tales, ‘hooker heels’ chat and doctor jokes in full force. The perfect way to begin any wedding day, I say!
With just over a hundred grinning guests, a blooming garden, delicious canapés, drinks flowing freely and thoughtful decorations by Sam and Paul, the afternoon went without a hitch.
Every single speech was a blast, with there even being a prize giving for the sweepstake. After a sneaky outfit change from Sam, the evening began with the cutting of the cake and their very first dance as a married couple, ending as every wedding should – with an rammed dance floor packed with questionable dance moves and the (in my mind) brave addition of a ‘Jager hour’. What a way to start the season!
Sam, Paul, thanks so much for having me. You’re are such a fab, relaxed and funny couple, I had an absolute blast. Have an epic time on your honeymoon, but before you go, here are a few snaps to send you on your way… x
