It’s taken years to get to this point. On Saturday 10 September, Prim and Malcolm finally tied the knot on their 11th anniversary.
While the length of their relationship was the butt of many a speech’s joke, it was clearly worth the wait. Both ‘a bit weird’ (their words, not mine!), relaxed, and super chilled, Prim and Malcolm’s wedding seemed like a dreamy one for me to photograph – and a dreamy relationship to boot. So when our mutual friend Laura pimped me out to Prim, I of course jumped at the chance to be their photographer.
The day started at Prim’s beautiful family home nestled in the misty valleys of Gloucestershire (yup, the weather was looking decidedly dodgy at that point!) before moving over to the gorgeous All Saints Church in Bisley. Following that (and Malcolm elegantly stalling the vintage Morgan – see below!) we headed to Mole End Field for their reception.
The pointed marquee’s amazing flowers, the personal touches in the decor and the endless smiles meant the whole afternoon and evening was the perfect setting. And those speeches. All of them. Just… wow.
Once the shock and giggles from said speeches had died down, the evening’s entertainment got underway in full swing. Simply put, Johnny and the Zephyrs were sensational. You know it’s a party when you can’t shove your way into the middle of the dance floor to photograph yet another dance-off, and when the father of the bride falls into you after attempting a rather vigorous air guitar. It was EPIC.
