When you book your wedding photographer, you’re essentially inviting another guest into the most intimate moments of your big day.
I understand that your wedding is about you, and my approach is not to invade, but to blend in. I want you to feel at ease. It’s not to pose you in formal and uncomfortable positions for hours on end, but to capture the emotions behind the smiles, the tears and the laughter. The candid moments that highlight the happiness of your day, and the details you’ll never want to forget. Though I capture mostly candid shots, it’s important to spend some alone time together on your wedding day too. So I like to whisk you away for a little while, to capture some of those giddy newly-wed moments you’ll share – the loving looks, the nervous giggles – in stunning portraits of you both.
The photojournalist in me shoots in a reportage style. I shoot what I see. The more I see, the more I shoot.
Laughing is key: my style is to capture the giggles and draw out the guffaws, then capture them all on film.
Subtlety is just as important: I’ll be there throughout, and though I’ll share a smile with you and your guests, I know the day is about you, not me.
Relaxed and natural: two of the loveliest words. No awkward posing or cheese here, thanks.
A few of my favourite things: originality, lace, vintage, rustic, fun.
